As a Sales Development Representative, you will be an integral part of our Milton CAT sales team. You will contact and qualify prospective customers and existing customers to identify and generate sales leads for equipment, parts/accessories and service. You’ll have an opportunity to build and maintain relationships with our customers (both individuals and businesses) to help them maximize sales and promotional offerings.

As a SDR you will:

  • Work as part of a competitive team of salespeople to achieve sales objectives and goals
  • Share, learn, collaborate with team members and manager to develop strategies, improve execution, and generate ideas that drive great team results and success
  • Leverage customer relationship systems (CRM), databases, and other industry tools to identify prospects and contacts within an assigned territory
  • Qualify prospective leads via phone; make an average of 75 calls per day
  • Respond to customer inquires from the website
  • Gather and document detailed information about the customer, their individual or business profile, equipment owned, equipment, parts or service needed, interest level and estimated timeline
  • Build relationships with contacts, ensuring appropriate outreach, timely follow up, and a positive experience with Milton CAT
  • Use our CRM and other tools to accurately document tasks, follow up plans, and update prospect and customer information
  • Support Field Sales team with entering leads and opportunities in CRM system
  • Provide amazing prospect and customer experiences – great customer service is key!
  • Share qualified lead information with the Inside and Outside Sales Representatives
  • Participate in ongoing training on equipment, products, parts, and service to consistently develop your knowledge and skills to drive your career progression

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
  • Strong computer/technical skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, and Internet research and navigation
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills – ability to interact positively with customers from a variety of industries and backgrounds
  • A high degree of customer service orientation, a willingness to “help”, and the desire to learn about business operations, computer systems, and sales
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Available for occasional overnight travel for meetings, training, trade shows, etc, as needed
