Who are we?            

BMT is an independent design and consulting engineering company with a significant presence in defence and security sectors both in the UK and worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to tackle the most complex design and multi-disciplinary systems issues. Our services are employed by government and private sector clients to tackle the most intricate design, system and enterprise level challenges in cyber security, intelligent systems, naval design, technical authoring and asset management, including the development of standards, policy and regulation as well as decision support for programme, project and digital transformation programmes.

What is the role?

Due to the current and future workload requirements within BMT, we are looking for Graduates to join our Software Development team within our Technology & Innovation Business Line.   As a graduate, you can expect to receive expert training from our software developers along with all the latest developer equipment including premium MSDN licenses and a whole host of development tools. All our team also get access to the training platform Pluralsight which will give you access to online training courses. 

We are looking for graduates who have the following;

  • A relevant  degree in Computing or equivalent discipline
  • Studied modules such as systems analysis and design, relational database design (Microsoft SQL Server 2008), object-oriented programming, Web application development (ASP.NET/ MVC / AJAX / JavaScript), Web Design (CSS) and information security.
  • An interest to work within this specialist domain
  • Excellent analytic and investigative abilities with a demonstrated creative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The following experience is desirable and not essential;

  • An understanding or interest in AR/VR development (3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D, Unity 3D Editor with C# (Version 5+)/Unity APIs and 3D Maths)
  • An enthusiastic and passionate individual who is committed to offering the best possible software solutions to our clients
