Summary of Position Description

The Security Supervisor reports to the Security Manager and provides supervision to up to 20 employees engaged in protective activities. Ensures a safe and secure hospital environment through monitoring of staff and systems and that the agreed upon protective activities and plans are implemented.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

2. Ability to create and maintain great working relationships with direct reports and customers throughout the organization.

3. Valid Maine drivers license.

4. Ability to prepare reports by utilizing hospital and department computerized software programs.

5. High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.

6. Prefer prior supervisory experience in healthcare security or related field.

7. Approximately one to two years progressively more responsible Security work experience desirable.

8. Interpersonal skills necessary for the effective leadership of assigned personnel and in order to interact with a variety of personnel throughout the Hospital.
