Senior Marketing Manager

Design and execute North American marketing strategies that advance product differentiation for the Reference Labs and Rapid Assay Businesses. Drive category development and revenue performance across several product lines including CardioPet, Real PCR, Advanced Profiles and . Core products will include CardioPet ProBNP, Cardiac SNAP tests, Real PCR and specialty test reference lab offerings. Manage pipeline marketing responsibilities for cardiac testing franchise (ref lab and in-house) as well as lead commercial promotion of unique test profiles. Provide leadership across CAG organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the development and execution of commercial activities associated with IDEXX Reference Labs Advanced Profiles. Heavy focus on the five or six unique tests IDEXX offers and their inclusion in standard chemistry/CBC profiles.

Formulate marketing strategy for IDEXX Cardiac Testing franchise, including:

* Development of new product claims and operational improvements
* Test interpretation criteria
* Launch new SNAP offering
* KOL relationship management
* Revenue performance
* Marketing strategy, and execution of marketing mix
* Study design and execution
* Pricing

Develop strategic industry relationships and collaborate on key initiatives.

*
Develop revenue and expense budget for key products.

*
Publicly present monthly report on category s progress versus goal.

*
Execute strategic planning activities in support of product portfolio.

*
Analyze markets to illuminate future investment/ revenue opportunities.

*
Train sales force in support of key marketing programs

*
Manage marketing expenses

*
Work closely with the Reference Labs marketing team to ensure that Cardiac and Advanced Profile marketing programs and strategies are consistent and aligned with overall Reference Labs marketing strategies.

*
Collaborate with the Reference Labs Sr. Manager of Customer Marketing and Sales Programs to roll out Cardiac and Advanced profile marketing programs (e.g., sales training, development of marketing materials, sales incentive programs, etc.)

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor s Degree in marketing, business, engineering, biological sciences or liberal arts
* MBA and/orDVM Preferred
* Veterinary training a plus

EXPERIENCE:

* 7 - 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
* Experience with new market development in long-life cycle products, strategy development, product commercialization and core marketing activities.
* Background in marketing clinical / medical products preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Strong leadership skills ability to drive collaboration across multiple businesses using influence, not direct reporting, as key motivating element.
* Demonstrated business-to-business marketing skills in a medically technical environment(segmentation, product positioning, pricing, distribution, forecasting and promotion).
* Willingness to explore uncharted areas / categories of veterinary market
* Business creativity desire to solve multiple business challenges with single commercial effort
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Maintain focus on priorities while handling many tasks.
* Ability to develop strategy while executing tactics and project details concurrently.
* Financial acumen and budget management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Travel required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal office environment.
