Position Summary

The overall purpose and function of this position is to, under minimal supervision, manage assigned responsibilities regarding investments, borrowings, financial management, budgeting, and analysis. Oversees, manages, and makes recommendations for investment strategies. Manages borrowings, monitors ratios, and ensures compliance with bond and loan agreement covenants. Prepares budgets and variance reports, scrutinizes financial documents and reports, and performs financial analysis. This position will also lead special projects and assignments of organizational significance as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Knowledge of accounting, finance, investment, and borrowing principles normally acquired through completion of a degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. MBA or CPA preferred

2. Five to seven years experience in investments, investment banking, or financial management required

3. Analytical skills to collect pertinent information necessary to analyze complex problems, formulate sound solutions, and implement those solutions.

4. Ability to understand complex financial transactions and the accompanying legal framework.

5. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with high level internal and external personnel in multiple disciplines on a variety of complex issues.

6. Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of financial management.
