This position is a Security Assistant supporting the Non-Guard Security function and is assigned to an installation. Will perform Security Assistant functions and serve as support to the NGS Regional Manager or Site Manager. Prepare and maintain a variety of Security Support documents and records, provide customer service support, and has input into a variety of Non-Guard Security Programs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

* Position requires employee to pass a physical.
* Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
* A valid state driver's license is required.
* You must obtain and maintain a security clearance.

DUTIES:

Perform and/or monitor standardized aspects of established security program operations to support security, supply and administrative services.

ddle> Prepare and distribute correspondence, messages and facsimiles

ddle> Maintain and obtain supplies for the organization

ddle> Deliver organization vehicles to various sites on the installation

Prepare documents and reports pertaining to inventory control

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: composing correspondence and reviewing for grammar; receiving calls, greeting visitors and providing customer service; maintain filing systems for various documents; ordering supplies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

Must be a qualified typist.

Must be able to lift 45 lbs on a regular basis.
