Interact with lines of business and coordinate the monthly and quarterly financial accounting for marketing initiatives that impact revenue recognition. Compile and analyze information from internal and external sources to validate the accuracy of financial data. Apply analytic skills to identify inconsistency in data and trends within the business.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in, and lead certain aspects of the monthly close process which includes preparing revenue accrual entries and reviewing accuracy of financial models.
Work cross-functionally throughout the organization, serving as the lead financial contact for select lines of business and departments for revenue accounting and reporting guidance.
Calculate and issue monthly credits to U.S. Distributors.
Support business decisions including analysis for new marketing programs.
Identify and implement process improvements in accounting, analysis and reporting. This includes leveraging information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes.
Work with multiple systems including SAP, TM1, and Business Objects for use in information retrieval and analyses.
Identify and effectively troubleshoot data issues through use of Business Objects software.
Develop revenue analyses and reports for presentations as required.
Research technical accounting issues as they pertain to revenue recognition using authoritative accounting guidance. Identify and recommend appropriate application of the accounting guidance in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP. May be asked to draft accounting memos as required.
Assist in assuring compliance with SOX requirements as they pertain to the internal control environment for the revenue cycle. Identify gaps in controls and present approaches to mitigate exposure.

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business concentration
EXPERIENCE:
2 - 4 years of relevant financial experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge in Accounting and financial analysis
Knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Strong analytical ability
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
SAP,TM1 and Business Objects experience preferred
