Job Summary:

As part of the IEP Control and Compliance Team, the Project Controls Analyst is responsible for tracking the cost and schedule of the IEP Project and maintaining the risk control system defined by IEP as part of the Control and Compliance Services provided to RG&E and NYSEG.

The Company obtains a background check and requires drug testing for all applicants who are offered employment in this position.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for coordinating the cost & schedule control of the IEP Projects from the information provided by the Project Management Team (PMT) and under the procedure defined by Iberdrola Energy Projects (IEP).
2. Generation and supervision of periodic cost & schedule reports such as Progress and Earned Value Report, Critical Path, 6-month look ahead, Cost Deviation analysis, etc.
3. Liaise with PMT Project Managers and Project Controls Manager to obtain and analyze the information periodically, updating the schedules and feeding back with progress reports.
4. Liaise with client representatives to exchange the information required by both parties to keep updated their respective reporting outcomes.
5. Responsible for over viewing Project accountability, making sure that it complies with FERC / NERC and any other applicable regulation
6. Support IEP Project Manager on the development of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
7. Attendance to Cost & Schedule Meetings as defined by the IEP Project Manager
8. Management of the Cost & Schedule key controls defined by IEP.
9. Maintenance of the IEP Risk Management System, liaising with the PMT and obtaining input from all the team members
10. Identification and Categorization of new Project Risks
11. Liaise with Project Managers on the Risk Cost definition and the Mitigation Action analysis.
12. Production of Risk Management Reports, feeding the IEP Project Manager.
13. Attendance to IEP regular meetings, providing in there with the reports and cost-schedule-risk views required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Skills/Abilities:

HV Transmission projects knowledge: general configurations, main equipment involved

Knowledge of Scheduling IT tools and software: Primavera P6, MS Project.

Knowledge of EVM

*
Knowledge of Risk Management protocols: Montecarlo

*
Knowledge of Ms Office tools: Excel, Access, etc

Knowledge of cost tracking, annual budgeting and accruals

Knowledge of SAP (user skills)

Communication skills

Understanding of quality assurance processes

Knowledge of main configuration and general arrangements of networks (substations, overhead lines and cable) infrastructures

Experience/Training:

3 Years Experience in Transmission and Distribution Projects and/or Ultility industry

*
3 Years Experience in Project Controls (inc. risk management)

*
Knowledge of MS Project and Primavera P6

Required Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
