SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The nurse director position at Mid Coast hospital is a key leadership and management position within the organization. The primary area of responsibility is to ensure optimal patient/family outcomes by maintaining a caring and healing environment. The nurse director provides direction for the overall growth and development of the department incorporating the objectives, policies and procedures of the nursing department and Mid Coast Health Services. The director is responsible for effective leadership, assuring clinical excellence, promoting teamwork and collaboration, supporting professional development and managing the business of their respective units.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
Current nursing registration in the State of Maine.
BSN or Bachelor s Degree in related field.
Certification preferred.
