Responsibilities:

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated entry level/Intermediate Mechanical CAD Technician, to become part of a dynamic group providing professional services to our clients in the Industrial and Power sectors. As the successful candidate you will assume the position of CAD Technician aand be responsible for the CAD drafting of projects.

Reporting to the Team Leader the successful candidate will be responsible for:

*
Producing aspects of mechanical design and drawings in 2D and 3D AutoCAD;

*
Organizing and maintaining CAD files for each project;

*
Successfully carrying out drafting assignments on project design teams;

*
Undertaking detailed design and creating working drawings of industrial piping systems;

*
Facilitating and ensuring the quality of design, drawings, and acuracy; and

* Ensuring that the projects needs are met in terms of project work plan schedules and budgets.

Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate, you have a minimum of an Associates degree from a technical college in a CAD design program, with 0 to 5 years experience in an engineering environment. A comprehensive knowledge of both 2D and 3D AutoCAD is essential.

A high level of detail and good communication skills are essential.
