Manager Retail Inventory Control

Job Location: YARMOUTH, ME

This position is responsible for managing the Inventory Control team and processes. Responsibilities include all reporting and analytics related to retail inventory control; utilize existing systems and understand how to develop reporting through new systems. Also responsible for inventory control related projects, representing the team through company initiatives and implementing special projects for the department as needed.

Reporting:
- Responsible for reviewing and distributing all inventory control reporting to the field.
- Responsible for understanding internal department reports, criteria and structure.
- Able to identify issues through reporting and create adjustments when necessary.
- Understanding of all sources of inventory control data.
Physical Inventories:
- Responsible for coordinating 100+ store annual physical count
- Responsible for working with 3rd party inventory firm
- Responsible for all reporting and communication of results to business partners
- Continually striving to improve process in effort to reduce shrink
Special Projects:
- Work as a liaison between inventory control and IT department.
- Wok with cross-functional teams to provide an understanding of inventory control processes.
- Create new processes and help others through change.
Training and Development:
- Lead the team of inventory control analysts.
- Drive productivity and performance of the analysts and aid their professional developmental.
Review and implement store and corporate procedures related to data integrity.
Responsible for delivering month end closing financial entries to accounting.
Recruit and hire inventory control analysts as needed.
Other duties as assigned.292743

Qualifications

- College Degree required.
- At least five (3-5) years related work experience in retail inventory, financial analysis or related field.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, accounting and/or merchandising.
- Experience with databases and systems required.
- Must have the ability to lead a team of individuals and develop those team members' analytical skills.
- Must be a forward thinker and have the ability to envision new processes and integrate systems into current processes.
- Must possess strong problem solving skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards working in a team environment.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
