INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: Explore science at the interface of engineering, software and biochemistry. Join a research team focused on integration of ELISA based diagnostic assay with new instruments being developed at IDEXX. The project will include exposure to IDEXX SNAP tests and integration with the SNAPshot Dx reader, as well as use of IDEXX Vet Lab Station software, and digital image processing data.

Apply your knowledge in chemistry, biochemistry and related fields to improve the health of pets by developing new veterinary healthcare products.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must be returning IDEXX interns or have completed at least one year of college. A track record of student success and potential as demonstrated by GPA, research portfolio, prior work experiences and/or the recommendation of a professor is preferred.

ABOUT THE IDEXX INTERN PROGRAM:

IDEXX Interns will have the opportunity for hands-on research and work experience in our cutting-edge research facility to supplement course of study. Interns will gain real-world experience and may be assigned to project teams.

These roles are compensated at a competitive rate; interns will work full-time hours for the summer months.

In addition to professional experiences, IDEXX interns have the opportunity to participate in a variety of additional activities, including:

Weekly small-group meetings to discuss their internships with other students and mentors

Lunch and Learn seminars on research topics with our leadership team

Workshops on relevant issues such as career planning, professional topics, etc.

Intern final presentations

Social mixers and events
