HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER/PROJECT MANAGER
Full-time 30 hrs/week role; benefits-eligible
As a member of the Human Resources management team, provides HR strategies, solutions and services in support and alignment with company, HR and business goals and objectives.
The goals will include the following: assist the organization s new management to assimilate into IDEXX, support corporate initiatives, as well as policy and procedure manual understanding. Provide foundational knowledge of tools such as internal systems functionality and HR related programs. Assist the business in establishing goals and objectives to achieve strong business results by leveraging the organization s leadership team in optimizing employee development, contribution and satisfaction. Integrate IDEXX policies and programs into the division, promote positive employee relations, management training and ensure the adherence of HR-related legislative changes.
In this role you will also be responsible for the project/program development for Reference Laboratories. Create and maintain project plans, project status, conduct analysis on project status, present project status findings, adjust project plans and assist in creating project financial and management reports. Lead small-scope to medium-scope projects; develop, implement, maintain and enhance process methodologies. Assist with ongoing programs; support the organization development process, succession planning, annual compensation programs and general programs that drive the business changes needed to move the business forward related to human capital.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor the work environment; identify employee relations trends, issues and areas for improvement to foster a positive work environment.
Counsel managers around employee performance issues while minimizing the risk of adverse legal action.
Counsel and coach employees on routine to complex employee relations issues.
Assist with identifying divisional high potential individuals and succession planning process.
Assist managers in developing career path opportunities as well as proactively preparing the organization for future resource needs.
Work with managers to identify and anticipate staffing/talent needs.
Administer HR policies and procedures, providing policy interpretation and ensuring consistency within the division and in alignment with the organization.
Identify policy needs or modifications to include local and state legal compliance.
Identify leadership development needs; deliver training programs in support of business needs.
Ensure effective administration of the company s compensation and incentive bonus programs for the division.
Represent IDEXX with knowledge of business, organization and products and help ensure understanding and implementation of mission, values and principles.
Ensure compliance with appropriate governmental laws and regulations as they relate to HR.
Provide regular updates regarding projects; highlight successes, concerns, milestones and issue resolution.
Work with HR team and clients in prioritizing project/program requirements.
Develop project scope, plans and monitor progress against plan.
Plan team resource needs; allocate and lead resources.
Create and maintain end-user (customer) satisfaction.
Direct the activities of internal and external resources in the planning and execution of small scope to medium scope projects.
Assist in the effort in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs.
Research, evaluate and recommend products/deliverables for purchase and/or development.
Oversee internal projects from inception through successful implementation.
Document process standards as required.
Manage meetings and participant communications to effectively drive decisions and action items.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor s degree required or equivalent combination of experience and training. Special training in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or Business Administration is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of six to eight years of progressively responsible human resource and project management experience, with proven record of achievement as a human resources business partner.
* Solid experience in providing solutions to employee relations, recruiting and organizational development matters.
* Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
* PC experience and knowledge, including Microsoft Office applications, Internet; HRIS.
