Job Description
Fitness and Wellness Coordinator
Appointment Terms: Full-time, regular, 12 month appointment
Salary: Anticipated usual starting range $26,202-30,591
Duties Begin: October 1, 2011 or soon thereafter.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the daily operations of Gentile Hall facility and programs. Coordinate all aspects of fitness, wellness and personal training programs. Support strength and conditioning programs for student athletes. Develop and implement member orientation programs. Initiate, market and implement appropriate revenue-generating programs that help members achieve health and fitness goals and increase participation and retention. Play an integral role in campus wellness programs particularly designed for faculty/staff needs.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field. Minimum of one nationally accredited personal trainer certification, as well as certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED. Supervisory experience desirable.
