Position Summary

The position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of the Strategic Capital Allocation Plan and the Strategic Financial Plan, researching and analyzing the impact of health care reform on the assumptions embedded in the Strategic Capital Allocation Plan and the Strategic Financial Plan, analyzing various accountable care organizations payment mechanisms, assisting with expense reduction and revenue enhancement initiatives, preparing operating and capital budgets, assisting with the preparation of cost accounting models, and performing various financial analyses. This position will also perform special projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1.Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
2.Ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment
3.Ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment
4.Knowledge of the structural, functional, and internal relationships of hospital departments
5.Analytical skills to collect pertinent information necessary to analyze complex problems, formulate sound solutions, and
implement those solutions
6.Ability to organize workload to meet deadlines
7.Knowledge of principles and practices of hospital financial management and GAAP
8.Knowledge of probability modeling
9.Working knowledge of personal computers as well as information systems capabilities, procedures, and practices
10.Knowledge of accounting, finance, modeling, and reimbursement principles normally acquired through completion of a degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
11.Two to five years experience in accounting and the analysis of financial data
12.Experience in a health care environment preferred
13.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with both internal and external personnel in multiple disciplines on a variety of complex issues
