Perform Facilities Project management oversite, budget planning, capital equipment expenditure planning, and facilities systems and project expense control.

Lead internal and external development projects from inception to successful implementation.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project initiation duties include defining the project scope and deliverables, project team and stakeholders, project goals and risks.

Responsible for developing or hiring consultants to provide project design documents reflecting customer requirements which may include some or all of the following; layout plans, detailed design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Perform Project management oversight, directly manage contractors and consultants, budget development and tracking, quality assurance oversight and project expense control.

Assist R.E. Asset Manager with site reviews, financial analysis and site utility requirements for new potential building sites

Lead internal and external development projects from inception to successful implementation.

Responsible for providing project updates and maintaining communication with stakeholders to include project plan milestones, issue resolution, budget reconciliation.

Use technical background and skills to troubleshoot building systems issues and develop corrective actions. Lead with creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs.

Work with the Facilities Leadership Team and other mid-to-senior level leaders to continuously improve facility operations and project management processes.

Coordinate move activities associated with site relocations.

Develop strategy and coordinate across business and technical teams to ensure all projects meet strategic objectives.

May mentor, train, and coach others.

May manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues. Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development. Support the development and management of department policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline

EXPERIENCE:

5-8 years experience in a related field

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to conceptualize, document, present and implement creative solutions

Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in department

Strong business planning skills

Must be comfortable working with a diverse group of people

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels within the organization

Demonstrated ability to successfully influence and negotiate across functional and division lines

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels

Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined and cross-functional teams

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Extensive computer use

Domestic and international travel

May require some lifting

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Production, office, laboratories and warehouse environment

Personal protective equipment and/or clothing may be required

Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to risk of electrical shock
