Job: Child Care Teacher Aide (Temporary)

The University of Maine Children s Center is seeking to expand its pool of temporary substitute Child Care Teacher Aides. Daily work hours and days may vary as individual provides support to several different child care programs. Duties of the position includes attending to children s needs, modeling skills that help children solve problems, assisting teachers in maintaining an appropriate child care environment, and helping insure constant supervision of a group of children. Previous experience in a child care environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to safely lift children six weeks to five years of age required. Employee must provide own transportation between 113 College Avenue and University Park. Pre-employment physical and appropriate background checks required.
