Job Description
The Town of Sabattus, Maine (population just under 5000) is seeking an experienced individual to join the management team, led by the Town Manager, as Chief of Police.
Candidates must possess an associate s degree, preferably a bachelor s degree, from an accredited college or university with major course work in police science, public or business administration, or related field. They must have 10 years of law enforcement experience with 5 years of demonstrated successful and progressive supervision and management skills with effective quality leadership and strong communication skills. The individual must be certified or eligible to be a certified Police Chief by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy standards.
The position requires impeccable integrity, ethics and professionalism.
