Administrative Secretary/Colby Fund
Fiscal Year/40 Hours Per Week

Provide clerical and project management support, prepare alumni and parent correspondence and conduct alumni and parent follow up phone calls, coordinate travel arrangements for three contact officers. Work involves exercise of independent judgment and decision-making, computer proficiency, excellent public relations skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Position reports to the contact officers and will have direct contact with various members of College Relations and other College departments, alumni, parents, and students.

Qualifications include: a High School diploma is required, post-secondary education is preferred; three or more years of previous secretarial experience required; must have excellent written and organizational skills and a high level of motivation; highly developed computer skills are necessary, proficiency required in Word and Excel and the ability to quickly learn other software programs and database applications; attention to detail and initiative in assuming responsibilities is necessary; ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently and to achieve ambitious goals; an ability to make an impact in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and to work collaboratively in a complex environment; and a commitment to the core values of a liberal arts education.
