Jobing Description
Full-time, temporary position, 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. Daily work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Employee operates all office equipment; assists with the preparation of written correspondence; types, edits, proofs, compiles and disseminates information using word processing equipment and software; schedules clients and meetings, conferences and travel; enters data in, maintains and manages database and filing systems; handles incoming and outgoing mail. Successful candidate must be able to maintain strict confidentiality, and have strong customer service orientation.
Qualifications:
Outstanding communication, organizational, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are required. Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel is required. Must be able to multi-task and set priorities with strong attention to detail. Experience in a similar office position and familiarity with the University of Maine is preferred. Appropriate background checks required.
